Where were you born?
Redding California, birthplace of Joe Buglione. Those living in Redding are called 'Reddingites'. A very artistic pedestrian bridge was recently built and now open to the public in Redding called the Sundial Bridge. Interesting, the shadows cast by the sundial bridge are accurate one day a year, the summer solstice.
Prairie City, Oregon is Lorrie Wade's birthplace. The former hospital is now a nursing home in this small town that developed from a community named "Dixie".
Heppner Oregon is the birthplace of Jason Palmer. My family has lived in the Heppner area going back to my great great grandpa. My grandfather was actually a teacher for about a month with only a high school education. He decided he would rather be involved in the family business of farming. So I teach school in a room that I actual took classes.
Baker, Or. is the birthplace of Ed Fisher. Baker sits at the base of the Elkhorn Mts. There are many outdoor recreational activities that one may do while in the area (ie. hunting, skiing, hiking, mining).
Klamath Falls, Oregon is the birthplace of Anne Sokoloski. There are actually no FALLS in Klamath Falls anymore. When a dam was added to the Link River the falls were stopped. K. Falls has also made the news because water rights for farmers were taken away to help protect the sucker fish - an endangered 'trash' fish that breeds in Klamath Lake.
BRRRR, Gail Turner was born in Anchorage, Alaska. My father was in the Air Force. I lived there for one year and a half. So NO memories have I. Some day I will return.
Lindsay Murdock was born in Redmond, Oregon in June 1976. Central Oregon - the High Desert - has beautiful mountains, great rivers and is the fastest growing area in Oregon (I think). I love watching the sun disappear behind Mt. Jefferson from the front porch of my parents home in Madras. (by the way - here is a little known fact... Ronda Thornburg & I both lived in Madras as children)
Grand Rapids, Michigan is the birthplace of Fred Wolotira. Fred lived in GR for only nine months before heading...North to Alaska (specifically Juneau). Oddly, another famous GR native, Gerald R. Ford, was raised in GR, but moved there when he was sixteen days old.
