Science and Science Probes
- Check out a fun interactive set of science games at BodyWorks
- Overview of the science probes and software
- Break into small groups and rotate through stations
- Groups include:
- Each group will complete the following at each station
- Comfort yourself with the science probe and how it works
- Gather data which would complete the experiment asked
- Talk about modifications or adaptations for your grade level
- Stations include
- Go Motion: Mapping the ocean floor
- Go Motion: Mapping your own motion
- Go Motion: Air ball experiment or Indy 500 and variable effecting speed of cars
- Temperature: Alka Setzer Experiment
- Temperature: Hot Hands
- Temperature: Insulators: hats, gloves, and jackets
- Heart Rate Monitor: Is your heart rate different while sitting, standing, or lying down?
- Light Sensor: Reflectivity of light from different colored papers
- Force Sensor: How do different surfaces effect the force while dragging a shoe OR How do different soled shoes effect the force while dragging them across the same surface
- Magnetic Sensor: North and South Pole
- Voltage probes: Are Batteries Different
